CBD and Partners' Consultations

Nutrition Stakeholders Meeting
16-17 February 2006 (Rome, Italy)

IPGRI, FAO and the CBD, with support from the International Development Research Centre (IDRC, Canada) convened a stakeholder consultation in order to provide inputs for delegates to COP 8, in preparation for their deliberations on the initiative. Nearly 60 experts from 25 countries contributed to this process, dividing into three working groups to develop recommendations in three key areas: research and evidence, policy and public awareness.

Full working papers from the consultation are in preparation, and will contain the detailed recommendations. The summary statement is available here.

IBFN-1
