Third meeting on the Implementation of the Plan of Action on Sub-National Governments, Cities and Other Local Authorities for Biodiversity 2011-2020, 21-23 March 2012, Nagoya, Japan
The objective of the meeting were : to provide an opportunity for Global Partnership participants to discuss and brainstorm potential program/contents and declaration of the second City Biodiversity Summit (to be held in parallel to COP11 in Hyderabad, India, in October 2012); to provide an opportunity for participants to discuss the roadmap towards COP11 and the second City Biodiversity Summit, and to share updates on other important cities and biodiversity topics; to discuss progress with the implementation of the Plan of Action and a response by cities - led by ICLEI – Local Governments for Sustainability. The meeting was co-organzied by the City of Nagoya, the Secretariat of the Convention on Biological Diversity (SCBD) and ICLEI.
