The Global Code of Conduct for Responsible Fisheries establishes principles and standards applicable to the conservation, management, and development of all fisheries. The Code provides a necessary framework for national and international efforts to ensure sustainable exploitation of aquatic living resources in harmony with the environment.

Common Code for the Coffee Community (4C Association)

The 4C Association is a collaboration of producers, trade, industry, and civil society working to enhance the sustainability of the coffee sector. It has a code of conduct which makes specific reference to biodiversity conservation, and is supported by a verification system and support mechanisms.

Conservation Grade

The Conservation Grade is a sustainability protocol implemented by farmers in return for a contracted premium price for their crop. They prescribe to the creation and maintenance of wildlife habitats, creation of a Farm Environment Plan, certain production requirements, and pesticide restrictions.

Cosmetics Organic Standard

The Cosmetics Organic Standard is a Europe-wide harmonized cosmetic standard. It provides standards related to organic production and minimal pollution / waste throughout the supply chain of cosmetic products, and includes reference to CITES.  Also provided are labeling and technical guidelines.

ECOCERT

France-based international organic certification organisation that primarily certifies food and food products, but also cosmetics and perfumes. They promote the use of natural substances and provide standards for natural and organic cosmetics which includes those related to waste and pollution, as well as the protection of natural habitats and threatened species.

Equator Principles

The Equator Principles (EPs) is a credit risk management framework for determining, assessing and managing environmental and social risk in Project Finance transactions. While the Principles apply to all new project financings globally with total project capital costs of US$10 million or more, and across all industry sectors, project Finance is often used to fund the development and construction of major infrastructure and industrial projects. Additionally, the EPs are primarily intended to provide a minimum standard for due diligence to support responsible risk decision-making.
