Review of draft Global Biodiversity Outlook - 3
1. A draft
Synthesis of the third edition of Global Biodiversity Outlook (GBO-3) is now available for
peer review until 31 December 2009. This 40-page document is aimed at decision makers and seeks to enable action to achieve the Convention’s objectives. Governments, through their CBD and SBSTTA Focal Points, are particularly encouraged to participate in this review process. However non-governmental organizations, institutions, members of universities and scientific bodies and individuals are encouraged to submit comments on the draft as well.
2. The draft
extended version of GBO-3 is still open for peer review until 31 December 2009 to enable Parties and stakeholders that have not yet provided their comments to do so.
3. Reviewers encountering difficulty in accessing the document can request that an electronic copy be sent to them directly by sending an email to
GBO3@cbd.int.

Following peer review, a revised version will be officially launched in May 2010. Until the official publication the data, material and messages contained in this draft may not be republished, displayed, distributed, or transmitted in any manner, nor may the material, or portion thereof, be copied or posted on any other website or network or otherwise distributed, quoted or cited. Comments received through the peer review process will be made publicly available and may be disseminated.
