  Bealtaine Festival 2013
Ireland’s premier biodiversity festival, the Bealtaine Festival of Outdoor Science runs in May 2013 and again includes the International Day for Biological Diversity on May 22.

This will be the 9th year of the festival and to date we have had hundreds of events introducing thousands of people to the outstanding natural resources of the Southeast of Ireland. Read more.

  The Creepy Crawlee Hotel, 22 May 2013, The Mansion House, Dublin
The The Creepy Crawlee Hotel Team is working extremely hard educating young pupils in schools in Tralee, Co. Kerry on biodiversity in insect habitats, and building Insect Hotels in school gardens. As of this moment, they have educated over 240 pupils and constructed insect hotels in 6 local schools and have compiled an information pack containing an instructional sheet, a powerpoint presentation and video for teachers. They have qualified for the finals of the ECO-UNESCO Young Environmentalist Awards, which will be showcased in The Mansion House, Dublin on National Biodiversity Day, 22 May 2013.
