Long An TV - TV series on biodiversity
Vietnam together with the Centre for Agricultural Bioscience International (CABI) and the Department of Community Ecology Helmholtz Centre for Environmental Research – UFZ, Halle Germany under a project called LEGATO will launch a TV series comprising 20 episodes of entertainment-education programs to educate rice farmers about biodiversity, ecosystem services and ecological engineering techniques to conserve biodiversity in rice landscapes. The series will be broadcast nationwide from Long An TV station and will reach more than 2 million people in the Mekong Delta. Entertainment education principles will be applied in developing the episodes to make learning biodiversity fun and motivating. The chairman of the Long An provincial government is expected to launch the series. |
