The conservation of marine diversity has a major role to play when it comes to ensuring livelihoods of coastal communities. In the wake of rising concerns, an awareness drive on marine eco systems was launched for students here on Saturday. Tree Foundation, a voluntary organisation, in association with the National Bio-diversity Authority of India, the US Fish and Wildlife Service and the Disney Wildlife Fund, organised the marine bio-diversity conservation mela at the Sanghamitra Vidyalayam here on Saturday.
