Nagoya Protocol: Avoiding excessive costs

The member states' environment ministers do not question the relevance of the protocol on access to genetic resources and the fair and equitable sharing of benefits arising from their use (ABS Protocol), signed in Nagoya, Japan, in October 2010, but they nevertheless note that its implementation in the European Union should not create excessive administrative or financial costs.
