I have the pleasure to inform you that, with the generous financial support of the Government of Ecuador and the European Union, the Secretariat of the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) is organizing from 23 to 25 September 2008 in the City of Salinas, Province of Santa Elena, Ecuador, a sub-regional workshop on capacity building for the implementation of the CBD programme of work on protected areas.
