As you may be aware, decision VII/24 of the Conference of the Parties (COP) to the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD), requested the Executive Secretary to convene an informal advisory committee on communication, education and public awareness (CEPA) to develop the programme of work for CEPA. Since its establishment, the IAC-CEPA has met both in the margins of meetings of SBSTTA and COP, as well as other occasions, to provide guidance on specific and general issues relating to the programme of work.
