Reference is made to the attached copies of a notification dated 14 December 2010 from the Secretary-General of the United Nations, acting in his capacity as depositary to the Convention on Biological Diversity, regarding the opening for signature of the Nagoya Protocol on Access to Genetic Resources and the Fair and Equitable Sharing of Benefits Arising from their Utilization to the Convention on Biological Diversity (Nagoya, 29 October 2010). The Nagoya Protocol will be opened for signature on 2 February 2011 at the United Nations Headquarters in New York.
