Pursuant to the request by the Conference of the Parties to the Convention, in its decision X/38 A, paragraph 3(b), and with financial support from the Governments of Spain, I am convening a meeting of the Ad Hoc Technical Expert Group on addressing the risks associated with the introduction of alien species as pets, aquarium and terrarium species, as live bait and live food, to be held in Geneva, Switzerland from 16 to 18 February 2011.
