I have the honor to refer Decision X/40 on Mechanisms to promote the effective participation of indigenous and local communities in the work of the Convention. Paragraph 1 of that decision requests the Executive Secretary to continue efforts to promote the General Trust Fund for Voluntary Contributions to Facilitate the Participation of Indigenous and Local Communities in the Work of the Convention on Biological Diversity.
