In decision X/1, paragraph 20, the Conference of the Parties urged Parties to the Convention and other States and regional economic organizations to designate national focal points for the Intergovernmental Committee for the Nagoya Protocol (ICNP), in light of the adoption of the Nagoya Protocol, and to inform the Executive Secretary accordingly. The National Focal Point for the ICNP will replace the existing National Focal Point on Access and Benefit-sharing.
