Negotiations on An International Regime on Access to Genetic Resources and Benefit-Sharing to Continue in Montreal

Montreal, 8 November 2009 – In what will possibly be the most important meeting in the history of the Convention’s Working Group on Access and Benefit-sharing, over 450 participants are expected to gather in Montreal on Monday, 9 November to continue the negotiation of an international regime on access to genetic resources and the fair and equitable sharing of benefits deriving from their utilization.
