The 2010 Biodiversity Indicators Partnership draws on the outputs and experiences of over 40 partner organizations, as well as a range of Parties, MEA bodies and the private sector in understanding the challenges faced in monitoring progress towards a global biodiversity target. In support of the discussions under Agenda Item 5.1 of WGRI, this side event will highlight the lessons learnt and incorporate the relevant outcomes of SBSTTA 14. It will present recommendations to support the CBD, its Parties and the wider biodiversity community in the development and use of indicators appropriate to the post-2010 target(s). The side event will be co-convened by the CBD Secretariat and include presentations from indicator developers and stakeholders involved in the Partnership.
