The UNWTO side-event will present the work undertaken by the organization on tourism and biodiversity such as a UNWTO background paper on tourism and biodiversity, the activities developed within the framework of the YDB and World Tourism Day (WTD) and other global initiatives relevant for biodiversity and in response to the post 2010 targets.
