Meeting
Fourteenth meeting of the Subsidiary Body on Scientific, Technical and Technological Advice (SBSTTA 14)

The role of agriculture in adapting to and mitigating climate change is crucial and there are basically two alternative approaches. Industrial solutions such as GM crops, biofuels and biochar present a serious threat to biodiversity and agriculture, but are presented as climate solutions. Meanwhile famrers are building resilient communities, innovating, and heading off climate change in ways that enhance, rather than reduce agricultural biodiversity.
