At CBD COP 10, 15 new indicators for implementation of the Strategy for Resource Mobilization were adopted. This side event will share the results of a scoping study to review the feasibility of the adopted indicators. Specific emphasis will be placed on current data availability and capacities for reporting against the indicators. National level capacity will also be reviewed with the sharing of national case study examples. A summary of the lessons learnt from similar processes and recommendations for indicator implementation and reporting will also be discussed. The study was carried out by UNEP-WCMC, with financial support provided by Finland’s Foreign Ministry, Finland’s Ministry of Environment and the UK Department of Environmental and Rural Affairs (Defra).
