The simple fact is: there is not enough money currently being made available to adequately implement the Programme of Work on Protected Areas (PoWPA) and achieve the Aichi Targets. Even if there was enough money going around, in many cases, countries do not yet have the capacity to implement the PoWPA effectively and sustainably. LifeWeb can help by encouraging funding of the most strategic and beneficial opportunities that provide efficient pathways to achieving global and regional targets by fostering cooperation, communication and coordination, while building capacity, commitment and capital for implementation
