In 2008, APAARI published a compilation of biosafety regulations of 39 Asia-Pacific countries (available at: www.apcoab.org). This publication is currently being revised and updated. In this event, it is proposed to discuss with BCH Nationa Focal Points of Asian and Pacific countries the organization of this publication, latest status of national biosafety regulations, and priority areas of regional and subregional cooperation in biosafety implementation.
