Our Pacific biodiversity is at the heart of Pacific culture, identity and livelihoods of local communities - for many, the foundation of Nature Conservation is the traditional Pacific way of life, in our region we fully understand - "Nature Protects if She is Protected". During this side event the Island Nations will showcase their success stories and challenges as they navigate towards achieving the Aichi Targets; and share more about the Pacific Nature Conservation Congress in 2013. This session will also explore the strengths of partnerships and their role in propelling this Pacific Voyage towards a better future, with strengthened Pacific biodiversity.
