The panel will cover the following: (i) Some recent cases of potential biopiracy to provide guidance for identifying the strengths and weaknesses of the Nagoya Protocol; (ii) Making the global multilateral benefit-sharing mechanism under Article 10 a reality; (iii) Analysis of the proposed European Union directive to implement the Protocol; (iv) Report on the process of implementation of the Protocol in Switzerland."
