Twelfth meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity

Let´s not keep reinventing the wheel but learn from each other´s successes in the management and governance of biodiversity and natural resources. This side event – hosted by the Blue Solutions Initiative of the German Environment Ministry (BMUB) together with its implementing partners GIZ, IUCN, GRID-Arendal and UNEP – will introduce the “solution-ing” approach to distilling key success factors of natural resource management solutions, defining how they work in their unique context and how they can be adapted to new circumstances. As a supporting tool for the exchange of successful building blocks of solutions, an online solutions exchange, which will be linked to a larger multi-sector solutions portal, will be launched during the side event.
