Please join us for a side event to learn more about global efforts to tackle the scourge of the illegal wildlife trade, and how more resources are being mobilised to support them. Action to prevent and deter illegal killing and trade and reduce demand for illegal wildlife products is identified in GBO4 as vital for the achievement of Aichi Target 12. This side event will highlight the work of Governments, UN Agencies, scientific institutions to tackle IWT, and provide COP delegates with a chance to discuss with them how to scale up international action to protect some of the planet’s most endangered species.
