From the collective construction of tools for valuation, validation and protection of traditional knowledge on sustainable use and free access to local biodiversity to safeguard and secure the practice of traditional medicine in the local communities of the Brazilian Cerrado, the Articulação Pacari proposes the construction of Raizeiras Community Protocol on the traditional use of Cerrado biodiversity, aimed at strengthening the fight for access to genetic resources traditionally used in health care, food and water in traditional communities, as opposed to megaproject that are impacting communities of Cerrado. The presentation of the experience will also be addressed from the brazilian experience on the (non) implementation of the right to consultation, prior and informed consent provided for the CBD and the ILO Convention 169.
