Twelfth meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity

The Event will provide information on the Multilateral System of Access and Benefit-sharing under the ITPGRFA, the implementation of its Benefit-sharing Fund, and how it interfaces with the Nagoya Protocol on Access and Benefit-sharing. It will provide updates on the projects supported by the BSF and the process of the Third Call for Proposals, which focuses on facilitating solutions for the adaptation of crop production to climate change; contribute to world food security, poverty alleviation and balanced economic development; and facilitates access to climate-relevant PGRFA for adaptation breeding, in harmony with the efforts with the Nagoya Protocol and the CBD.
