	Sustainable Financing and Improved Management Effectiveness for Protected Areas in the South Caucasus $18,700,000 USD of funding needed

Abstract	The Caucasus forms an ecoregion that has been identified by environmental scientists as having the highest level of biodiversity in a temperate climate zone in the world. It is one of only 34 so-called “biodiversity hotspots” worldwide according to Conservation International.
Objective	Close the funding gap for operating and ongoing investment costs in priority PAs and improve management effectiveness in PAs in Armenia and Georgia.
