The project is geared towards supporting four new legally stipulated protected areas in Tanzania's Eastern Arc Mountains with infrastructural assistance (material, etc.) and by establishing management structures. By establishing buffer zones with fire-tolerant tree species, the number of fires which constitute a major threat to these forests, can be reduced. |
