The Nature Conservation Center (NCC), is an interfaculty and interdisciplinary academic research center that was founded in 2002 under the Office of the Provost at the American University of Beirut (AUB), Lebanon. The center seeks to promote the conservation and sustainable use of biodiversity, to enhance the wellbeing of people and nature by providing an open, innovative, and collaborative platform for multidisciplinary projects that promote nature conservation. Its vision is to establish itself as a recognized reference center for the study and sustainable use of biodiversity, while conducting its outreach and knowledge generation activities under the Community Development, Eco-Entrepreneurship, Integrative Health, and Medicinal Research and Drug Discovery programs.
