“Interactive Biodiversity Atlas of Morasko – New Approach in Management of Natural Environment”, it is the interdisciplinary project conducted by students interested in using GIS tools in the environmental management. Interdisciplinary, in case of our project means cooperation between members of particular sections of Student Scientific Society of Naturalists from our Faculty, who know methodologies to work and describe various types of organisms and objects (e.g. plants, insects, reptiles, zooplankton, small mammals). By collecting data about them and by using GIS techniques, we want to create online GIS map of biodiversity. Our atlas will be an useful tool to establish naturally valuable areas, endangered by anthropogenic factors.

„Interaktywny Atlas Bioróżnorodności Moraska – nowe podejście w zarządzaniu środowiskiem przyrodniczym” to interdyscyplinarny projekt realizowany przez studentów Uniwersytetu im. A. Mickiewicza w Poznaniu zainteresowanych wykorzystaniem narzędzi GIS w zarządzaniu środowiskiem przyrodniczym. W przypadku naszego projektu interdyscyplinarność oznacza współpracę pomiędzy studentami należącymi do poszczególnych sekcji Koła Naukowego Przyrodników działającego przy Wydziale Biologii UAM, którzy pracują w oparciu o metodykę dostosowaną do poszczególnych grup organizmów (np. roślin, owadów, płazów, zooplanktonu, małych ssaków). Zebrane dane przy użyciu oprogramowania GIS posłużą do stworzenia internetowego serwisu mapowego bioróżnorodności. Nasz atlas będzie użytecznym narzędziem w ustanawianiu obszarów cennych przyrodniczo, a zagrożonych antropopresją.

Museum in Gliwice was founded in 1905. Currently along with its basic day to day operations, the Museum gets involved in a variety of projects which are to enhance the understanding of multicultural, art, and nature heritage of Gliwice and Upper Silesia.
Gliwice museum has rich collections gathered in the following departments: archeological, historic, ethnographic and of artistic craftsmanship. One of the most important objectives of the review organized by the Museum in Gliwice is to create a favourable climate for artistic, historic and heritage education of children and youth.

The Polish Global Taxonomy Initiative or GTI has as its task the bringing together of taxonomic information at all recognised levels of biodiversity (i.e. the genetic, specific and ecosystemic), and for all organisms, with a view to facilitating achievement of the objectives set out in the Convention on Biological Diversity.

Pomagamy chronić siedliska, również te ukształtowane przez człowieka. Prowadzimy edukację i działania uświadamiające konieczność ochrony przyrody, również w ramach programów szkolnych. W nasze działania włączamy dzieci i młode osoby i staramy się pomóc zrozumieć piękno otaczającej nas przyrody i dziko żyjących gatunków, oraz potrzeba ochrony różnorodności biologicznej. Tworzymy platfromy porozumienia społecznego, a także integrujemy społeczności lokalne wokół naszych działań ochronnych. Wspieramy zrównoważony rozwój gospodarczy oraz działania zmierzające do zachowania lokalnej kultury i tradycji.

‘CIS’ is an independent organisation based in the region of Lower Silesia, in the South West of Poland. We bring together people for whom nature conservation is a way of life, be it through work, leisure interests or a passion for wild life. The aims of our Association are to: create social initiatives leading to sustainable development; contribute to the protection of the natural environment; raise awareness of the benefits of biodiversity; promote rural culture. We work in partnership with universities, local authorities and local government to protect natural resources and develop ecological education programmes. Our educational programmes with young people raise awareness of different aspects of ecology, sustainable development and protecting the natural environment.
