Funding for Parties from Developing Countries and Economies in Transition to attend (i) the twelfth meeting of the Subsidiary Body on Scientific, Technical and Technological Advice (SBSTTA-12); and (ii) the second meeting of the Ad Hoc Open-ended Working Group on Review of Implementation of the Convention (WGRI-2), Paris, France, 2 to 6 July and 9 to 13 July 2007, respectively.
Pursuant to Decision VIII/31 paragraph 22 of the eighth meeting of the Conference of the Parties, I have the honour to inform you that the Secretariat has received, to date, a total of US$191,117 from donors in support of the participation of developing country Parties and Parties with economies in transition in the twelfth meeting of the Subsidiary Body on Scientific, Technical and Technological Advice (SBSTTA-12) and the second meeting of the Ad Hoc Open-ended Working Group on Review of Implementation of the Convention (WGRI-2), scheduled to be convened in Paris, France from 2 to 6 July and 9 to 13 July 2007, respectively.
