Title: Mural painting: Thangkha - from Bhutan
Description: Found in Bhutanese monasteries, these painted scrolls serve primarily as visual aids for understanding the tenets of Buddhist philosophy.  This beautiful mural painting, or Thangkha, portrays four friends living in harmony with nature.  Taken from one of the parables of Jataka, the mural serenely depicts the importance of safeguarding the wisdom of elders, and the preservation of the world's flora and fauna, for the benefit of all beings.
