To follow up on the first regional workshop in this series of workshops, held in St. George's, Grenada, from 17 to 21 October 2011, a second regional workshop was held in Port-of-Spain, Trinidad and Tobago, from 5 to 7 September 2012. This workshop addressed various issues that the countries in the region may have encountered or will encounter while updating their NBSAPs, with a focus on target-setting, stakeholder engagement and the development of country-specific plans for mobilizing financial resources for the implementation of NBSAPs.

The above NBSAP follow-up workshop was held immediately after the Caribbean Workshop on Access and Benefit-sharing (ABS), held at the same venue from 3 to 4 September 2012 and organized by the ABS Capacity Development Initiative.
