1.
Organizing on 21 May 2006, at the Head Office of the Ministère de l’Aménagement du Territoire et de l’Environnement, a «Biosafety and Desertification» study day.
2.
Excursion to a nature site:
Visit the humid lands of Ain Ben Khellil (Ramsar site) and Djebel Aissa National Park (wilaya de Naama : steppe);
Visit of the Mezaia of Béjaia Lake (wilaya de Béjaia);
Guided tour of the Réghaia Game Park (wilaya d’Alger);
Organize for the benefit of students a tour of an educational institution (a nursery or a dam) (wilaya de Relizane);
Guided tour for children and adolescents to the National Park of Chréa (wilaya de Blida) and the Boughezzoul Dam (wilaya de Médea);
Guided tour for children and adolescents to the National Park of Chréa (wilaya de Blida) and the Boughezzoul Dam (wilaya de Médea);
Guided tour of the Djelfa Game Reserve (wilaya de Djelfa);
Guided tour for students and schoolchildren to the biological station of the locality of El – Frine commune of Ain – Assel (explanation of the functioning of Lake Oubeira classified by Ramsar) wilaya d’El Tarf.

Organize an environmental caravan in the wilaya de Bouira.

Observation by students from the wathtowers of rare species of migratory and sedentary birds.

Clean-up of the recreational forest of Lake Tonga (El Tarf).

Open-house day:
at the Dounia House from 21 to 23 May 2006 (wilaya d’Alger) intended for students, children and general public;
on humid lands located in the territory of the wilaya de Oum El Bouagui territory in coordination with Forest Conservation;
exhibition on the International Day for Biological Diversity at the wilaya de Bouira, the wilaya of Batna and the wilaya de M’sila;
open-house on resources found in dry and sub-humid lands (wilaya d’El Oued);
open-house on the environment and an exhibition on the heritage site of the wilaya de Médea;
exhibition at the Dounia House at the Chréa National Park, from the 22 to 24 May 2006, organized by the Tourism Direction and the Ecological Association of the wilaya de Blida;
photo exhibition of different species of the fauna and the flora of the wilaya de Chlef;
exhibition at the youth center (wilaya de Djelfa : steppe);
film screening on the topics of: biodiversity, drylands, global warming and ecotourism.

Study Day:
study day on hospital waste management in collaboration with the Health and Population Direction (Wilaya de Oum de Bouagui);
study day on the abundance of the fauna and flora of the wilaya de Naama and on the potential of the Djebel Aissa National Park (Wilaya de Naama : steppe);
study day on the fauna and the flora of the Gouraya National Park and on the flora of Lake Mezaia and on the Report of the status and future of the environment in Algeria (Wilaya de Béjaia : littoral);
study day on the topic of the International Day for Biological Diversity at the wilaya de Batna and at the wilaya de M’sila;
study day on the geology of Tamanrasset, biodiversity, sustainable use and the conservation of natural heritage (Wilaya of Tamanrasset);
conference on the topic of the International Day for Biological Diversity for students, environment clubs, tourism agencies and associations (Wilaya de Tamanrasset);
round-table with the Direction of Agricultural Services, Forest Conservation, the Direction of the Environment, the Direction of Mines and Industries, the Direction of Tourism, Office of the Ahaggar National Park, the National Institute of Forest Research, of Meteorology, associations and local radio. (Wilaya de Tamanrasset : South Algeria);
conference on the war against erosion intended for students and presented by the services of the Direction of the environment (wilaya de Tissemsilt : steppe);
conference on the preservation of the earth against erosion presented by the services of the direction of agriculture (wilaya de Tissemsilt);
organization of contests for students (drawing, best answers) on the topic of the International Day for Biological Diversity (wilaya de relizane);
Study day on the environment, June 6 and 7 2006, at the Yahia Fares University (Médea University);
presentation on the biological diversity of drylands (wilaya de Mila);
information on the definition of biodiversity as well as the concerted efforts made by the wilaya for the conservation of the vegetation (wilaya de Tindouf :South);
information on the interest in protecting the humid lands (protection of the fauna and the flora at the school levels) (Wilaya d’El Tarf).

Organize a marathon on 22 May 2006 with public recognition of the winners, in collaboration with the Youth and Sport Direction of the wilaya d’Oum El Bouaghi.

Organization of a national class in schools
organize a class on the impact of man on nature and his role in its protection, in all mosques and Koranic schools (Wilaya de Tamanrasset);
organize a class on Biodiversity Day during the third semester of the school year 2005 -2006 (Wilaya de Bejaia : littoral);
organize an awareness class on the environment, deserts, desertification, sustainable use and hold a play on the environment at the cultural centre for the benefit of children (wilaya de Médéa);
organize a class on the concept of biodiversity (wilaya de chlef);
organize an awareness class on the importance of the conservation of biodiversity (wilaya de Tindouf : South).

Broadcast information through daily and weekly television programs (Sabah el kheir, environment and society, etc…).

Broadcast spots on television.
13.
Distribute information on the International Day for Biological Diversity through national and local radio:
broadcast a program on local radio on the dangers of damage to the natural resources of the wilaya d’El Oued : South;
broadcast an awareness program on local radio of the wilaya de Tindouf.
14.
Creation of posters and brochures on the International Day for Biological Diversity (IDB):
Preparation of educational material concerning the environment (stickers, posters) to be distributed in schools and colleges (wilaya de Médea.

Reports and articles in newspapers.

Create a special window on the Minstry’s website on 22 May, IDB:

Put together a brochure on the 22 May Day (wilaya of M’sila : steppe).
