three main actions have been taken within last 9 years: designation of Natura 2000 (N2000) network, designation of local government (LG) level protected areas (PA) and designating green network (GN) with start of its integration into physical planning system.

GN with core areas as PA-s and corridors between them is designated as county level thematic planning that should be considered by LG-s when updating their comprehensive plans. Ca 30 LG-s (out of 270?) have already considered it.
