Banham Zoo is a 50-acre (20 ha) zoo in Banham, Norfolk, England. The zoo, which is home to over 2,000 animals, opened its doors to the public in 1968. In 2013, Banham Zoo, along with our sister park Africa Alive! in Suffolk, England, became part of the Zoological Society of East Anglia (ZSEA). By becoming a registered charity this has enabled the parks to secure their long term futures, to further advance our aims of education, zoology, animal welfare, environmental protection and continue with the vital work we undertake for wildlife conservation and biodiversity across the world.
