Iran is a megadiverse country with unique species and subspecies for food and agriculture. Iran is also an active member of CPB. Iran However lacks sufficient capacity for proper conduct of science‐based risk analysis particularly for risk assessment, risk management and LMO detection. Iran also seeks for equipment and training for the above mentioned activities in order to protect its valuable biodiversity.
