Convening of regional and subregional meetings
for Parties to the Convention
The Conference of the Parties,
Recalling its decision II/22,
Having benefited from such meetings by adopting decisions on agenda
items of the third meeting of the Conference of the Parties,
1. Requests the Executive Secretary to seek voluntary contributions
to meet the administrative costs of the regional/subregional meetings;
2. Urges the Secretariat of the Convention to seek additional
voluntary contributions for such meetings to facilitate the participation of
developing country Parties, in particular the least developed countries and
small island developing States.
