2001 Review of the effectiveness of the financial mechanism (REFM-2)

The second review of the effectiveness of the financial mechanism was conducted in accordance with the terms of reference for the review of the effectiveness of the financial mechanism (Decision V/12), and led to COP decision on financial mechanism under the Convention (Decision VI/17).

The second review of the financial mechanism benefited from:
  1. The report of the independent evaluator for the review of the effectiveness of the financial mechanism (en es fr ar ru zh)
  2. The Second overall performance study of the Global Environment Facility (en es fr)

1998 Review of the effectiveness of the financial mechanism (REFM-1)

The first review of the effectiveness of the financial mechanism was conducted in accordance with the guidelines for the review of the effectiveness of the financial mechanism (Decision III/7), and led to COP decision on a list of actions to improve the effectiveness of the financial mechanism (Decision IV/11)

Paris Declaration on Aid Effectiveness

The Paris Declaration on Aid Effectiveness, endorsed on 2 March 2005, provides an international framework for increasing efforts in harmonization, alignment and managing aid for results with a set of monitorable actions and indicators.
