Health and Biodiversity at the 14th Conference of the Parties (COP 14)

Mainstreaming 'Biodiversity and Health' at the 2018 UN Biodiversity Conference

The world is at an important crossroads, at a time when global loss of biodiversity and healthy ecosystems continues at an unacceptably alarming rate. In 2018, even as we celebrate the 25th anniversary of the entry into force of the Convention on Biological Diversity, it is also a critical opportunity to sound an alarm around the world, and highlight the importance of biodiversity – as a source of food, fibre, livelihoods, climate mitigation and resilience, health and well-being – for people and the planet.
