Submissions in preparation for ICNP-3

Through notification 2013-003 of 17 January 2013 (as well as reminders issued on 16 May and 2 August), Parties, other Governments, international organizations, indigenous and local communities and relevant stakeholders were invited to submit views and information on the following issues to be discussed at the third Meeting of the Open-ended Ad Hoc Intergovernmental Committee for the Nagoya Protocol on Access and Benefit-sharing (ICNP):

• Monitoring and reporting (Article 29);
• Development, updating and use of sectoral and cross-sectoral model contractual clauses, voluntary codes of conduct, guidelines and best practices and/or standards (Article 19 and 20).

Parties were also invited to provide information on national or regional developments of relevance to the ratification and implementation of the Nagoya Protocol, as it becomes available.
