Class activities at Saint George’s School, Montevideo
Saint George’s School in Montevideo is enthusiastic about participating in celebrations of the IDB2014. They participated in two ways:
1. By learning about rainforests in Science class, focusing on biodiversity, and by playing two rainforest animal games: rainforest dominoes and an animal web search.
2) By looking at the island in front of the school "Isla de las gaviotas", while discussing biodiversity and how people may impact it.
“We believe it is highly meaningful for students to become aware of existing biodiversity and the way people may impact it in order to live lives considering positive actions towards it.”
