“Keep an eye on the Eagles”, 24 May 2015, Castro Verde
“Keep an eye on the Eagles” is one of the activities of “Terras sem Sombra” Festival, joining Biodiversity and the best of Alentejo Culture. The activity is taking place on the 24th of May in Castro Verde and the meeting point is near the Basilica Real in Castro Verde at 9:30 am.
The first stop is in Salto to see how Alentejo bread is made in a traditional oven. The activity continues towards the Sra.de Aracelis Chapel, high above the Alentejo plains to search for the Iberian Imperial Eagle with the Imperial LIFE Project team. This aims to teach participants about the regional historical and religious heritage. The activity will end with a picnic and a workshop of “Cante Alentejano”, intangible cultural heritage of humanity, with the choral group "Os Ganhões".
“De olho nas Águias” é uma das atividades inseridas no Festival Terras sem Sombra que junta a Biodiversidade e o melhor da Cultura do Alentejo. A atividade decorrerá no dia 24 de Maio, em Castro Verde, e o ponto de encontro é junto à Basílica Real de Castro Verde às 9:30h.
A primeira paragem é na aldeia do Salto onde será feito pão alentejano em forno tradicional. Segue-se rumo à Ermida da Senhora de Aracelis à procura da rara Águia-imperial-ibérica de Castro Verde com a Equipa do Projeto LIFE Imperial. Aqui será ainda possível conhecer melhor o Património Histórico e Religioso da região. A atividade terminará com um piquenique e uma oficina de cante Alentejano, Património Imaterial da Humanidade, com o grupo coral "Os Ganhões". |
