Biodiversity and Municipalities – Opportunities for Villages, Towns and Cities
State Nature Conservancy of the Slovak Republic and the Ministry of Environment of the Slovak Republic and partners are organizing a two-day seminar for Slovak municipalities. The seminar includes:
  • Public-friendly scientific presentations (on invasive species, wetlands, management of urban green spaces and the importance of mushrooms for biodiversity in villages, towns and cities)
  • Case-study presentations of a successful implementation of biodiversity-oriented measures by villages, towns and cities just like yours
  • Presentations on funding opportunities for biodiversity-oriented projects, specially tailored for Slovak villages, towns and cities

With more than 15 speakers from environmental government- and non-governmental- organisations, academia and municipalities themselves, the event is an invaluable opportunity for villages, towns and cities to learn more about biodiversity in rural and urban areas, its importance and ways of protection; meet potential partners for biodiversity-oriented projects and identify funding sources for their implementation. Representatives of villages, towns and cities: join us and get inspired for action!
