The Ministry of State for Environment Affairs (Directorate of Biodiversity, Land and Natural Reserves) celebrated the International Day for Biological Diversity by organizing a national workshop in Alswiadaa province on 28 May 2015.
Participants included: the Ministry of State for Environment Affairs, Ministry of Agriculture, ACSAD, General Commission for Agriculture Scientific Researches (GCASR), NGOs, and local communities.
The Participants discussed vital topics related to biodiversity and its importance in achieving sustainable development.
The Minister of State for Environment Affairs Dr. Sarkis gave a speech at the event and said that biodiversity is the basis of life and emphasized its importance for current and future generations. |
