Crete's Culinary Sanctuaries Educational Network, an award-winning program for Best Practices in Responsible/Sustainable Travel, has been organizing accredited study abroad programs for academic institutions, professional groups, and open programs for serious culture-nature enthusiasts for over 20 years. On May 22, 2017 – the International Day for Biological Diversity - we will have the pleasure of hosting two different university groups on their annual two-week study tours. Students will attend classes on site with our CCS Network of people working to protect and celebrate our cultural-natural heritage, including archaeologists, agroecologists, botanists, biologists, chefs, organic farmers, heirloom seed savers, artists, and sustainable tourism practitioners. We are also organizing an open program July 10-16 in collaboration with the Center for Responsible Travel.
