Opening Statement by Fatimah Raya Nasron, the President of the COP-MOP 3 to COP-MOP 3

In her Opening Statement, she stressed that: “The Protocol clearly stipulates that the meeting of the Parties shall take a decision on the detailed requirements of identification of living modified organisms intended for direct use as food or feed, or for processing." Reminding the delegates that “We failed to do so at COP-MOP2”, she called on each of them “to make a commitment not to leave Curitiba without having resolved this outstanding issue”
