World Migratory Bird Day, 10-11 May 2008: "Migratory Birds - Ambassadors for Biodiversity". Celebrated worldwide in over 56 countries in 2007, this annual event, initiated by UNEP/AEWA and UNEP/CMS, raises awareness for the need to protect all migratory birds and their habitats throughout the world.
