To Nicole Rycroft, founder and executive director of non-profit Canopy, ancient forests are the "cathedrals of the natural world." Species of all shapes and sizes make up the diverse congregation worshipping within. Birds fill the choir lofts with their sometimes-cacophonous hymns.
